TWANTE

TWANTE was an ancient city, The ceramics found near Twate dalta in 15^th Century to 17 century. Twante was famous it’s canal 35 km-long, ” the short-cut route between the city of Yangon and the Ayeyarwaddy Division “until the 1990s when roads became usable year round. Twante Canal was constructed in 1881 during the British time and opened in May 1883. It serves as the quickest route from Yangon to the Delta Region.

Itinerary

Pick up from Hotel, warm welcome by Legendary Myanmar guide, then car will drive approximate 1 and half hour drive to Twante from Hlaing Thar yar Twante road. Then you will reach to Twante with the country side scenery with paddy fileds.

Twante also known as pottery town where you can observe traditional pottery making site at Oh-Bo Quarter, then visit to the mark, Local weaving textile workshop at Shan Su village, Visit to Shwesandaw pagoda, Sandawlay pagoda(Ancient pagoda), Myanmar Ceramic Museum ( Small museum). Drive back to Dalah Jetty (about 45 mins) and take the Public ferry boat across Yangon River (15 mins) touch closely with the local people daily life style. Upon arrival back to Pansodan Jetty. Drop of to your hotel.
